Stone Statement is a premier stonemasonry business founded and led by master craftsman Frank Alves. With more than 35 years of dedicated experience, we specialise in all aspects of natural stonework — delivering exceptional quality, attention to detail, and lasting results for heritage restorations, luxury homes, and bespoke features across the Southern Highlands and greater NSW.
Frank began his journey in 1988 with an apprenticeship in Sydney, contributing hands-on to some of Australia’s most iconic heritage projects, including:

- Hyde Park Barracks
- The Mint
- The Rocks precinct
- Museum of Contemporary Art Australia
- Fort Denison
These formative years on landmark restorations instilled uncompromising standards of precision, authenticity, and respect for traditional techniques — values that continue to guide every project at Stone Statement.
Today, Frank leads a trusted team of skilled stonemasons while remaining personally involved in all work to ensure consistent excellence. We work primarily with premium natural stones — sandstone, granite, and marble — carefully selected for durability, beauty, and harmony with the Southern Highlands landscape.
